DPDP in everyday work
The DPDP framework concerns digital personal data. A small business may encounter related work when it takes bookings, keeps customer or worker records, runs classes, handles payments or uses digital tools with information about people. That alone does not decide whether a particular activity is covered.
Be able to describe what information a workflow uses, why it is used and where people can find that explanation.
Trace which people, devices, apps and outside services handle the information, and where extra copies may remain.
Know who receives questions, reviews access and retention, and coordinates the response if something goes wrong.
Official sources: the Act, the commencement notification, the Rules, the G.S.R. 892(E) corrigendum (MeitY copy); Gazette copy, Data Protection Board establishment (G.S.R. 844(E)), Board composition (G.S.R. 845(E)) and the Removal of Difficulties Order, 2026 (S.O. 5458(E)).
Choose a starting point
Each review covers one area so answers from different workflows do not get mixed. The sector itself does not decide whether a law applies.

The full map keeps your answers beside the practical explanation and official reference for each topic.
Email copies are not enabled yet. You can use or print these notes without sharing details. If enabled later, the report request will appear after your result and ask for your name, verified email, selected SMB segment, approximate size band and State/UT. Your details and selected answers will be used only to send the copy you request; this is not marketing. Any optional human follow-up will use a separate request with its own consent and will not include your answers.
