Android · Installation guidance

Verify the release before you decide.

Only use a release linked from the official Annapurna app catalogue or its official Google Play listing. No APK is currently available from this catalogue.

CHECK THE LISTING

Match the details shown for one release.

  1. Confirm the page is on the official Annapurna domain and the download path is the exact one shown in the app catalogue.
  2. Compare the app name, package ID, version code, Android requirement and exact file size with that listing.
  3. If you independently calculate SHA-256, compare all 64 hexadecimal characters with the listing. A checksum confirms a byte match to that reference; by itself it does not prove safety or publisher identity.
  4. Compare the signing-certificate SHA-256 only with the value published for that exact release. A changed or missing value means stop and ask the publisher through its known official channel.
  5. Review the requested permissions and release notes. Do not install if they differ from the information you expected.
INSTALL WITH CONTROL

Keep Android's security decisions.

  1. Use Google Play where an official listing exists. For a direct APK, open only the link on the official app catalogue and choose whether to proceed.
  2. If Android or Play Protect shows a warning, stop and read it. Do not turn off protection, grant broad access or follow instructions to bypass a warning.
  3. Review any Android prompt for the app's requested access. Decline or uninstall if something is unexpected.
  4. For updates, use the same official source and package. Keep the old version until the replacement has been verified and installed successfully.
  5. To uninstall, use Android Settings or the launcher. Review any on-device data or backup consequences in the product's own privacy information first.

Only install apps you trust. A hash, certificate fingerprint, store page or publisher label is one piece of information; none alone guarantees that software is safe.
